Best Practice in Accessible Bathroom Design
Pressalit Care is delighted to offer our RIBA approved CPD (continual professional development) seminar, Best Practice in Accessible Bathroom Design. This seminar forms part of the RIBA core curriculum under ‘design for accessibility’.
The objective of our seminar is to increase understanding of both independent and dependent user needs. Appropriate layout and product solutions are presented for a variety of applications with consideration given to Part M of UK building regulations, BS8300:2009 - including Changing Places facilities. For education projects we examine the recommendations in Building Bulletin 102.
Spatial requirements for using the toilet, basin and shower as individual elements are explained in detail along with their inclusion in complete integrated layouts.
Design tools demonstrated within the context of the seminar include our BS8300:2009 layout disc.
